Your most interesting projects / accomplishments?

The two that really come to my mind are…

The Denarau Island resort project in Fiji  where I coordinated the master planning phase and project managed the civil design and construction of this $100m project, the largest project undertaken by my company at the time.

The career defining accomplishment of being appointed MD of HG and leading the company through three economic downturns, whilst growing the company from 100 people in 1993 to 345 in 2007.

 What you love most about your job?

The interaction with a wide range of people throughout the property industry coupled with the opportunities to win new projects and see them through to completion but most of all having the opportunity to pass on leadership skills and industry experience to others.

Why you followed this career path?

Initially to have a job which had a large outdoor element (as a land surveyor)

Your interests outside of work?

Travelling, skiing, golf and spending time with family at our beach house at Matarangi

What or who motivates you?

     Success and being around positive people

Who do you love to work with?

      Anyone with a positive attitude, who enjoys having fun while getting the job done!
